Inversion
This is one of the most important discoveries in the history of psychopathology. Essentially, Inversion describes the basic destructive attitude that human beings adopt towards life and society as a whole.
Quite simply, Inversion can be seen in the inverted values and life styles that dominate our planet. War and violence have become means of "resolving" conflicts. Even more dangerously, money occupies the first position in society – above even human life. This inverted value means that human beings are serving money, not the other way around, creating enormous injustice as well as a reckless exploitation of both the individual and nature. At the same time, society forces people to be less "human," thus encouraging selfishness, materialism and paranoia.
This Inversion, however, is mostly inconscientized in the human being, who censors consciousness of this in every way imaginable.
If we continue to remain ignorant of this psychological condition, we will only continue to develop more and more sophisticated means of destroying both ourselves and the planet.
More About InversionKeppe’s science shows us that the human being has within the notion of what is right and wrong, good and evil. This means he is born with everything he needs to be healthy and balanced, and to progress in life.
However, the attitude of Inversion that stems from unconscious envy turns the human will against what is right and what the person knows is best. Human society even stimulates “philosophical systems" to justify its destructive acts.
When analyzed through Keppe´s developments in psycho-socio-pathology, the cause of our destruction of ourselves, our society and our world lies in our psychological Inversion, which occurs at two levels:
1. Individual – Inversion of "values" and attitudes at an emotional level, for example, seeing selfishness, materialism, envy, dishonesty, corruption, aggression, censorship, greed, alienation, superficiality, dispersion, voracity and / or sensorialism as the best means to succeed in life
2. Social – Here, Inversion manifests through a sick socioeconomic system that creates unjust laws, fosters a lack of ethics and social oppression, develops decadent and corrupt legal, political and economic systems and ends up acting against people and nature. War, terrorism, racism, religious intolerance, private and state capitalism, rampant stock market speculation, totally unjust exploitation of human labor and natural resources, consumerism, and stagnation of science, the arts and knowledge are all evidence of socialized Inversion.
Due to this envious, inverted and destructive attitude, the human being will reject and destroy everything good, beautiful and truthful in his life and civilization. And the result is physical, psychological, socio-economic and ecological disease.
The following books are suggestions to help you better understand these concepts: The Origin of Illness and Liberation of the People: The Pathology of Power, by Norberto Keppe
Note: Today, we are dominated by the economically powerful, which have taken control of the Political, Judiciary, Legislative and even religious branches of our Society. As well, the Media outlets are, for the most part, totally dominated by vested interests. The situation of the pathology of power is so severe that we can consider that we currently live under the greatest dictatorship of all time.
